Danny and René purchased the building in Whipple that was the former home to the Whipple Baptist Church in November, 2007.  When it came time to name the new venture they agreed that the community would continue to refer to it as
"The Old Whipple Baptist Church."  In keeping that significance in mind and knowing that all the meat is prepared using real hickory smoke, "Holy Smoke Event Center" had found its name.
